The aim of Inside the Human Cell is to provide the framework of essential knowledge regarding cell organelles needed to understand human disease. The approach used fosters not only understanding, but also deeper insights into disease processes and clinical problems.

A revision chapter at the end of the book allows self-assessment, generally with useful feedback.
